I think that the best relationships with the most love do thrive off of trust, but trust is not required for love. For example, if you love someone, but you know they are doing something they are not telling you, you can still have love, although you may not be fond of the person at the time. - Jack R

Trust is very important because nothing can be built or established without trusting others. However, Cupid asked Psyche to blindly trust him when she knew nothing about who he was. Emma T

I think that it is kinda saying that there should be some level of blind trust. Where you are putting your life in the other persons hands.

I think that it is referring to that love and trust can both be lost and gained and it is not something that is indefinite as it is always changing and adapting. I say this in accordance with how even though psyche tries to kill cupid she was blinded by her own love for him and she was willing to do anything to one get that trust back and two to get that love back.

Zeke Peirce: I think that the story was interesting in historic context showing the reader how they viewed relationships, values, tradition Ect, in the past.It also gives insight to modern day relationships and how much trust is valued.

In Cupid And Psyche's proclamation about trust in relationships, I think that trust in relationships is essential but in the myth, they dramatize that bond. I have found in my friendships and family relationships if there is no trust the relationship begins to crumble, this is because anything you do the other person doesn't believe you. This trust can be broken but it can also be regained. In Cupid And Psyche's case, they break that trust and they have to work to get it back just as you would have to in real life. Although when you break that trust you may not have to go through deadly tasks in order to get back to where you were before you broke that trust.

The Cupid and Psyche myth's illustrate how having a lack of trust in a relationship can have negative affects but if both people love one another and work to fix the relationship it can be restored. We can see this when Psyche does things that are thought to be impossible in order to do whatever it takes to win back Cupid.

I agree with Cupid and Psyche myth's proclamation about trust in relationships because if people have a lack of trust, they will never experience close relationships. In Cupid and Psyche, Cupid didn't love Psyche when she distrusted him because he couldn't trust what else she would do and he couldn't get close to her.

I think it was very interesting when Cupid would not let Psyche see his face. He was not a hideous monster or anything, he was the most attractive man. But he wanted Psyche to trust and love him for who he was not his looks. If they did not trust each other then that is not loved.

Relationships are built on trust. When that trust is broken it can cause major issues for all the involved parties, However, if there is enough willingness to work to resolve the issues trust can certainly be restored. This is clearly demonstrated in Cupid and Psyche when they eventually do end up together.
