They still matter because they have modern implications. These stories were written to be timeless and classic. We can take the lessons in the stories and take their themes of courage and bravery and apply them to our daily lives. The same way we can take lessons from fairytales or religioius texts, we can do the same with the Iliad and homer. They are stories of humans and our emotions, not just gods and wars. We are able to take from it what we are going through and wiseness we lack.

They do still matter because they have modern aspects to them. We can learn from these stories and apply them to lots of things because these stories show courage and bravery. These stories show emotions that everyone can relate to and we can relate to them even more because the stories are timeless. We are able to learn about what we can do to make our lives better and things that maybe didn't work out that we can try to avoid.
