both jason and perseus both only think about there journy and doesnt think to much about the cashulties that they cause in order to achive what they have been sent for. I think the pattern in almost all heros journys is that the hero had major tunnel vison and doesnt see anything besides his task

I think that Perseus is more heroic than Jason. He was not selfish and he did not use other people for what he wanted to achieve. Perseus was fighting for not just himself whereas Jason was fighting for what he wanted for himself. They both had help from gods giving them resources to complete their journey. Perseus took those into account but in the end, it was mainly him completing his mission. Jason took advantage of the resources but in a bad way. I think that Perseus also had more to lose than Jason with his quest so Perseus' journey was more dangerous.

A pattern I saw within perseus and jason was that there is always roadblocks and problems on a journey and at the end something you must do to finally succeed. in jason it was slaying the dragon and getting the golden fleece and bringing it back. for perseus it was killing medusa and bringing her head back.

Patterns I have noticed with the several Greek Heroes is that there is always a bad experience or person that motivates them to do what they do. They are always the underdog that rises in the end. I do think differently about the labeling of a hero now because I feel that heroic actions should be done out of goodwill and not self-gain. Most of the heroes we read about conquered their quest with the intention of getting something in return. To me this wouldn't be heroic it would be doing a job or task you get paid for.

I notice that heroes are given tasks that are normally impossible and come back successful. I think a hero is someone that wants to do the right thing no matter the cost because Jason wanted to do the right thing but ended up doing some bad things in his quest that he didn't think was the wrong thing to do.

heroes fight for what they think is right mostly for a prize like the goldin fleece or medusas head they use their smarts not just brute strength they seem to be favored by the gods

I think heroes fight for more than them selfs, it is in this just type of voyage that the gods take to liking.

I noticed that a many if not all of the tasks any of the heroes are given, they always come out the winners. I am struck by how most heroes are selfish and scheming in the end. If I had to choose between the two heroes, Jason and Perseus, I would choose Perseus because he was more morally bound and never deceived or killed anyone he shouldn't have.

I think that perseus is more of a hero because he went through lots of struggle and he accomplished his goals. He also freed his mother from a bad man in the process of killing medusa.

Heroes are given goals that otherwise seem impossible and are able to succeeding doing them. They may kill people or make mistakes along the way but they will ultimately meet their goal and this causes them to start to be supported by the gods.
