There is a little bit of it in the sense that they have a higher being or something bigger then they can comprehend like The Force in Star Wars and Zeus and the other gods in ancient Greece.

I think there is a kind of mythology because they all believe in the "Force" and the Force is all around us in every living begin so the people that can wield that are kind of like the gods in Greek mythology because they are greater than people that can't use it. So people rely on the Jedi to protect and help like the God are thought to have done for the people, While there are Sith that could be like Hades where there's always 2 sides to a greater power like The Light and The Underworld. They also have young kids that could learn to use the force and just like how the gods can favor normal people Jedi or Sith look for normal Beings that they can manipulate or help depending on the Wielder.

The connection between Star Wars and Greek Mythology is a strong one. First, Anakin is a hero, similar to Hercules or Percy. He goes on a hero's journey, getting the call, ignoring it, taking the journey & facing many challenges to get there. Darth Maul & Darth Vader are the dark, evil enemies that the hero must face and attempt to beat. Darth Vader is like a God, all-powerful, and almost impossible to win against.

After Greek Mythology, I think I will be able to take specifically the Hero's Journey concept into other classes. When analyzing stories in English it can specifically help me guess about different story plots. I think that we can draw a lot of conclusions about our own lives and literature, through looking at Greek Mythology & that it is super cool to learn about!

I definitely think there is a mythology to Star Wars because like Lucas said, he takes themes of life and puts it into his stories. That's what mythology is: it uses it's stories to teach people a lesson and show them life through a different lens. Star Wars does this through resolving conflicts with different characters and showing us a journey that we will never go on but that has many similarities to our own lives. Star Wars is a physically embodiment of the subtle journey we all go through. I think that because Joseph Campbell and Lucas were good friends, Lucas used his Hero's Journey idea to create a story that changed pop culture forever. When Lucas was doing his research for his characters, he finds all these similarities between evil characters and this parallels to Greek Mythology or any mythology because there are similarities between characters because they represent certain traits in people and themes in life that can teach us a lesson and that we must learn from.

there's a little bit of mythology in star wars, mainly follows a hero's story. I haven't seen a single one so there's not much I can mention about it. But something ill take into other classes its looking out for heroes stories in books. Greek mythology is interesting but the best way to learn about it for me is watching videos

I have never actually seen any of the star wars movies but from the video we just watched I think that star wars has some sort of mythology to it. Most mythology stories has some sort of lesson to take with you. For example, in the story of Cupid and Psyche the lesson was that in order to have a heathy relationship you need to trust one another and you can't have any secrets. With the story about Medusa the lesson is to not cheat or else there's a consequence. In the star wars documentary we watched I think the lesson is that there is always gonna be some sort of evil inside of us but we need to remember that the good in us will always end up winning if you just try and fight the bad. The thing I will take most with me is that everyone has a story and everyone can be great or a "hero" if they just try. I also need to remember that I have a journey to go on and I can't just not do something because I'm scared or else my life will end up being super boring and when I'm on my death bed I will regret all the things I didn't do because I was scared. I guess my final thoughts are just tell other people about these stories and the meaning behind them. Maybe if I told them about the Hero's journey they might think "wow, I really need to get my life together and finish with a blast, otherwise, was it worth it?" and I think that's the question we all need to ask ourselves. When everything is said and done, would your life be worth it in the end?

I don't really know if their is any relation in Greek Myth to Star Wars. The reason for this is because I personally have never finished a full Star Wars movie itself. But, their always could be patterns or symbols that you could relate to Myth from Star Wars. What I think I will take away from Greek Mythology is just the fact that you can find any sort of info at any time period and still be able to learn something about it. I have really learned a lot from Greek this year and have definitely grew to have a more common interest than I did.

There is mythology in Star Wars. The writer explained that he uses parts of real-life and integrates them into a Star Wars movie. Also, Star Wars basically revolves around the motif of good vs. evil. I think now that I have been in this class I can recognize motifs in books and movies that I watch, and I will be able to decipher the hero´s journey in stories. This class kind of gave me a different perspective on things and has helped me look deeper into text and movies.
