I think trust is a very strange thing in this story. I think that Psyche was set up to fail in this situation. I don't think there is any way the trust couldn't have been broken and that too much was asked of Psyche. Although, when Cupid and Psyche's trust was broken, Psyche was willing to do anything to regain trust. She had to go through series of challenges to prove her worth. Once she did this she gained back Cupid's trust. My overall thought is in this story the "trust" that was asked for by Cupid to Psyche wasn't fair and that she had to do so much to gain it back even though there is no way it wouldn't have been broken. Another strange thing is Psyche's sisters (people she trusts) convinced her to kill a man who she trusted ( but never listened to )and was married to. Trust plays a very negative role in this story and I think it is very odd.

With Cupid and Psyche, there really was no trust to start with, Cupid hid his face in the shadows and Psyche broke her promise that she would not try to or attempt to see his face. when cupid left and Psyche tried to look for him there was trust given after she was given a second chance.

That trust is basically everything in a relationship.

This story was very different compared to the others we have been shown. Psyche was set up for failure in the fault of breaking vows made to cupid. I find that these conditions of this relationship are impossible to comply with.

in the beginning there is not trust to start with really psyche had broken her trust and that caused a lot of issues in the beginning. But trust was gained after a second chance.

trust is shows that it is very important. if trust was present, Psyche would not have gone through all th troubl that she did. trust would have saved her a big headache

There wasn't really trust to begin with because Cupid told Psyche not to look at him and she'll get everything she would ever need. She agreed but then her sisters caused her to doubt it and she broke her promise to him. Psyche then had to try to regain his trust back through a lot of dangerous tests that she wasn't supposed to complete. Once she completed all of these, Cupid was able to trust her again.

I think there's a deeper moral behind it. While not looking at your husband is a strange wedding vow, I think the deeper meaning is to be loyal to your spouse.

I think that trust was a huge part of their relationship throughout the whole story. Psyche needed to trust that Cupid wasn't a monster and Cupid needed to trust that Psyche wasn't going to break her vow to him. Eventually outside forces, her sisters, kind of led Psyche to break her vow and her husband's trust. Psyche was given the opportunity to prove her love to Cupid and therefore winning his trust back. Trust is a huge part of every relationship. There can't be a healthy relationship with no trust.

I think that it shows that trust is essential in a relationship because when Psyche went to see her husband because she didn't trust what he looked like and wanted to see him. Although that is a lot for her to do Cupid also put major trust into her and she broke it. once it was broken she did everything she could to get him back and I think that represents the idea of its easy to break trust but hard to gain it back throughout all the challenges from Venus.

I think that the story has a lot to deal with trust and how it matters in life.

I think trust was crucial in this relationship. It is one thing to trust someone when you know everything about them, however, in this specific relationship with Cupid and Psyche, they did not know everything about each other. Since they were able to overcome the fact that some things had to remain a secret (such as Cupid's real identity), their love, in the end, is so much stronger since they were able to make it through their hardest time together.

Trust isn't something that should be broken when it comes to love. Regardless of the circumstances love should be blind and filled with trust. Cupid's broken heart after Psyche looks upon his face shows how there isn't always a chance for forgiveness. Today we have gotten used to giving people unlimited second chances. Cupid and Psyche reminds me how true love isn't without mistakes but shouldn't have continuous betrayal.
