In the Psyche and Cupid myth I noticed two main themes.Trust and Selflessness, in this myth Psyche's sisters convince her that her husband isn't who he claims to be. This causes Psyche to question her love for him and ultimately loose trust in him, even though he always had told her the truth.'"He told her who he was, and sadly bade her farewell. 'Love cannot live where there is no trust'", this quote proves love cannot exist without trust."Cerberus, the three-headed dog, guarded the doors, but if she gave him a cake he would be friendly and let her pass. All happened, of course, as the tower had foretold. Proserpine was willing to do Venus a service, and Psyche, greatly encouraged, bore back the box, returning far more quickly than she had gone down." this quote explains how Psyche went to the underworld because Venus made a deal with her, and in the end it lead to getting Cupid back.

I noticed the idea of trust in relationships constantly in the Psyche and Cupid myth because the fact that Psyche was able to lose trust in her husband so quickly is a sure sign of a bad relationship. Trust is one of the main building blocks in love and if people (even family) can convince you out of it, then you know you don't have those feelings for that person. Cupid shouldn't have cared and just loved Psyche no matter what, even if Venus didn't support the marriage because Psyche wasn't granted a goddess yet from Zeus. When Psyche went to the underworld to do Venus a service, it led to her getting Cupid back in the end and falling in love once more. You have to look at what is best for yourself when it comes to finding love, and not what is best for those around you who may disagree with your choice and push you away from what you want.

Trust was very relevant in Psyche and Cupid myth because throughout the story Psyche continually lost trust in her husband and trust is very important in a relationship. Without trust the relationship is corrupt. Psyche put her trust in her sisters rather than cupid. She didn't trust him so she went to someone she could trust more. In a relationship when you don't have trust you should go to your partner to talk about it. “Night fell, and her husband came to bed, and as soon as they had finished kissing and embracing each other, he fell fast asleep. Psyche was not naturally either very strong or very brave, but the cruel power of fate made a virago of her. Holding the carving knife in a murderous grip, she uncovered the lamp and let its light shine on the bed."

Within the story it shows and explains that love cannot even last long without the basic trust within the relationship. I think that it is true and without the trust within people it can cause a type of mayhem that cannot be fixed. I think that although trust is important you need truth within that, if people lie and stretch the truth that means that it can jeopardize the trust within people and makes the relationship collapse from the inside out.

The myth demonstrates the value of communication and trust because it conveys that love can thrive with these aspects in the relationship. With the constant lack of trust within the relationship caused it to become toxic so leaving caused her to regain her stability. Trust is what connects us back to humanity.

In the story, trust was the main topic it dealt with. Psyche lost trust in her husband and that ruined the relationship, it won't work without trust. She trusted her sisters because she didn't feel she could trust cupid. Because the trust was gone and was in a relationship with someone you feel like you don't know it not healthy at all, so she tries to end it, even though it had been shown that she is not very brave.

In the myth of cupid and psyche it shows a lot about trust and how if there is none of that a relationship wont last. Like with Psyche she didn't trust her husband then ruined the whole relationship. This myth shows me that you have to have trust in people to make your relationship last longer.

Trust in a relationship is very important because if you can’t trust someone the relationship won’t work. While reading Cupid and Psyche I noticed that she was faithful until her two sisters told her that her husband was an ugly serpent who was going to eat her in her sleep. In most relationships, something usually happens to make the other person distrust the other. Trust goes both ways because when Psyche decided that she wanted to look at him at that point he lost her trust and when she looked at him she broke his. One can’t trust the other if the other cannot trust them.

This story explains that even in a seemingly strong and long lasting relationship, there will always be some sort of bad factor hiding. This is very true, all relationships are started thinking, ¨this isn´t going to last long.¨ Sadly this is just the mindset in this day and age. Its this mindset that always creeps up and leaves people thinking later in the day the second something goes wrong. Causing the relationship to immediately fall apart.

This story shows how love cannot be without trust. Trust is what all lasting relationships are built on. It is a good lesson that the Greeks would have needed in their daily life, and relationships. In relationships once you loose the trust of someone it is very difficult to get it back and sometimes as Psyche did you have to go thought much difficulty to ge it back. I also think it is a great metaphor the cupid and psyche names mean love and soul.

I feel like it shows how you can't love without trust for each other. Without trust then how do you know if they truly love you or not. If Psyche didn't break her promise then they could have a had a good relationship. She wouldn't have had to go through that trial to gain his trust again if she never broke her promise in the first place.

The Cupid and Psyche myth shows how trust is an important pillar for love. Without trust, love can't exist in a relationship. Because Psyche didn't truly trust Cupid, she was easily tricked by outside parties into mistrusting and not loving Cupid. It wasn't as if Psyche could do much to trust her husband however, considering that she wasn't even allowed to see his face. So the trust has to go both ways for love to truly happen.

Trust within a relationship is the foundation. Trust is what bonds and man and woman, a man and a man, or a woman and a woman together. Without trust in a relationship it is meaningless. Trust is explained through Cupid and Psyches myth. Psyche although she loved Cupid, she didn't trust him enough not to look at his face. Cupid then felt heartbroken and left. This can be compared to relationships today. Without trust they can fall apart easily. For love to exist trust must be formed

A relationship has to have some level of trust for it to work out. My mom and me wouldn't be friends if we did have trust. Same with any romantic relationship even more so that trust is needed. If Cupid didn't trust Psyche then neither of them would have gotten along and the other way around.

Cupid and Psyche's view of trust is quite hypocritical. Cupid said that "Love cannot live where there is no trust," yet how could Psyche have trust in him when she didn’t even know what he looked like. He expected to just automatically have her blind trust when she doesn’t even know anything about him, and what she did know was that he was a winged serpent which was only half true, so he lied as well. I think that relationships need to have a foundation of trust to live, and I completely agree with what Cupid said, but he also needs to practice what he preaches.

This myth shows how trust is needed, without it relationships won't be able to succeed. The basic of every relation starts from the ability to trust one another.Once Psyche lost trust in her husband the relationship deteriorated. Psyche trusted her sisters more than her own husband which is already a bad sign for the relationship.

I think the Cupid and Psyche Myth was very accurate about relationships or friendships. In a relationship you need to have trust. Without trust, in my opinion, is hard to be in a relationship with someone. You don’t know if they’re going to stay true to you i.e. cheating. One thing that I value most in a relationship and/or friendship is trust. Is that person you’re friends with or in a relationship with trustworthy? Could you trust them with your deepest secrets and know that they won’t tell anyone else? If you can’t trust them, either if you’re in a relationship or a friendship, then maybe you shouldn’t be friends or in a relationship with them.

In the myth, Cupid states that "love cannot live where there is no trust". This is a true statement, where it is possible to move past the untrust and love beyond it, but the love will never be the same as when the trust was there originally.

In the myth of Cupid/Psyche, alot happen that show that no love can last if therer is no trust. For example, Pysche's sisters made her queastion herself/Her husband/ and their relations ship. This caused her to think and become curiouse witch i thnk shows that she had a hard time trusting him in everything. After the lack of trust she went ot hum while he was sleeping to look at him and once she saw she realized that her distrust was not worth it, sadly she got caught and that showed cupid she didnt trust him so he thought it wasnt worth having a relationship with no trust so he left. Later the of course both said they still loved eachother so they got back together and got married. This myth shows how inmportant trust is in relationships and that love is hard to exsist if theres not trust.

The myth of Cupid and Psyche gives us some powerful insight on the necessary values that everyone should have and bestow when in a relationship. In the myth is it shown how powerfully destructive the element of distrust can be in a relationship. And then it is also shown how powerfully constructive trust is when it is restored in Cupid and Psyche's relationship and they get married soon after thus proving the point that trust is a very important factor in relationships.

Within the Cupid and Psyche myth, Cupid entrusts Psyche with trying to make their relationship work though she cannot see him, and she is not allowed to try and seek out his physical form. In relationships, sometimes the only thing you can do is trust blindly. Not always will there be the chance for either person to have the ability to support each other with surmountable trust that has been established. Besides blind trust, there is also the point where love cannot be founded without first trusting the other person. Psyche did not fully trust Cupid, and let the distrust enter her thoughts, and she nearly lost him forever. She had to prove herself worthy once more of being with Cupid, and their ability to trust each other was strengthened.

In the context of the Cupid and Psyche myth, trust plays a big role in determining the dynamic of their entire relationship. I mean, Psyche meets this totally sick dude that she loves and everything, only he asks her to trust him (and wants to trust her) not to look at him. Obviously, Psyche looks at him, and he finds out. I don't know what it is exactly but there was that question of "can love exist where there in no trust?" and this myth both confirms and denies the fact that it can. At first, when Cupid finds out he was betrayed by his lady love, he literally flies out a window saying, "love cannot live where there is no trust", which you'd think would make the message pretty clear. Only it doesn't, because then Psyche sets out to win him back, and does so successfully (after being trusted to carry a box somewhere without opening it and then she OPENS IT, but then she gets saved by her boo so it's all good) essentially saying that love CAN live where there is no trust, so long as you just like, try really hard and do stuff for their significant others' mom. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I think Psyche is an idiot that shouldn't be trusted with anything really, and love is a pretty crazy thing that may or may not be able to live within a relationship that has no trust.

In the Cupid and Psyche Myth, trust is the most important piece of the story. It went both ways Cupid trusting Psyche and vice versa. Once the trust was broken from Psyche trying to see what Cupid looked like, the whole relationship was broken. "Love cannot live where there is no trust," I kind of agree with this because for a relationship to thrive and there to be love there has to be mutual trust.

"Love cannot exist where there is no trust" this is the main subject or thought behind the myth of Cupid and Psyche. For any relationship or friendship, you need trust for a good, or decent relationship. It's hard to love someone without being able to trust them.
