My reaction to this myth is that Psyche had to have trust that she would fall in love with someone, as told by the oracle. Even though she was supposed to fall in love with a "monster", she trusted her supposed destiny and waited to meet this monster: "On the high hilltop in the darkness Psyche sat, waiting for she knew not what terror". After she met Cupid, but still didn't know who he was, she had trust in the validity of their secret relationship, and Cupid had trust that she wouldn't try to see what he looked like. However, when Psyche wanted to see his face and had doubts about their relationship, Cupid flew away because she had broken their trust, "Love cannot live where there is no trust". Psyche also broke trust when Venus told her to not open the box, but she did. This shows how easily it is to break trust. In the end, Cupid forgave Psyche for breaking their trust, "It is a difficult matter to keep love imprisoned". Overall, this myth shows how trust can be broken, but can be healed by love.

My reaction to Cupid And Psyche myth proclamation about "trust" within relationships is,it is based on success and happy confidence. If you didn't have neither trust or confidence can easily be broken. Cupid was more in darkness an radiant and Psyche was beauty and fearful. There should be no trouble just peacefulness, for example Psyche in the video was being in the field of flowers following her dreams of success. This shows the comparison between her and he that some things can go bad in a relationship like trust especially but the love of affection can heal by both human beings.

After hearing the myth about Cupid and Psyche my thoughts are that trust is the beating heart of a relationship so to say, without it the relationship wouldn't be able to thrive. As soon as Cupid realized that Psyche looked at his face even though she promised not to flew away immediately because his trust in her had been broken that instantaneously. This shows how vital yet fragile trust is. Another large takeaway from this story is the importance of trust for love as Cupid states, "Love cannot live where there is no trust." Cupid and Psyche's myth also portrays the very tempting aspect of disobeying trust, for example Psyche wanted to see Cupid's face and open Venus's box because she was told not to.

My reaction to the Cupid and Psyche myth's proclamation about trust was that uncertainty and doubt are contributing factors to what Cupid may have believed was Psyche's loss of trust. I don't think that Psyche really lost trust in her husband Cupid but was rather manipulated to act upon her uncertainty and her fear that her husband may have different intentions only due to mind games that Psyche's sisters played on her. Psyche proved her love to her husband by searching endlessly for him even though Cupid had left her after she betrayed him. Most of all, I think Cupid lost trust in Psyche because she had promised him to never look upon his face but when she betrayed his wish and broke her promise, Cupid couldn't trust her to keep future promises. When Cupid said to Psyche, "Love cannot live where there is no trust" this was mostly a reflection on his own emotions. He was doubting the love he had for Psyche because of her supposed betrayal but in proving her love for Cupid the trust was repaired for him which leads us to ask the question, is it trust that cannot live without love or proof of worthiness?

Cupid and Psyche's Myth tells a tale of cupid and how he has to have trust in prophecy for him to find love, even if his love is quoted as a "Monster" this really speaks to society, could a normal human being follow these actions? would they get too impatient, to continue with the story however the story continues on to tell the tribulations of this unique love. it also shows how if there is no Trust in love (of any kind) then the relationship isn't healthy

My reaction to Cupid and Psyche myth is that trust goes can go in a different direction and that it can be regained by proving it. Psyche was tempted by her sisters to look at Cupid, resulting in the loss of trust with him. She then went looking for him, hoping that her trust could be regained. She went through multiple trials by a jealous Venus, and was helped to show her trust to Cupid and his mother. She proved that she loved him and would do anything to earn his trust back, including almost impossible tasks. What I took away from this text is that trust isn't something that is always kept true in a relationship and that it will disappear at some point, but it can be regained through proof.

The myth of Cupid and Psyche shows that love is unsuccessful without trust. At first Cupid and Psyche are in love, and Cupid trusts that Psyche hasn't seen his face. When Psyche decides to see him because she believes he is a monster, Cupid loses all his trust in Psyche. Cupid eventually earns back his trust, and they fall in love once again. This shows that in order to love someone, you must trust them too, and they must trust you. It also shows that if you lose someone's trust, it is very hard to earn back.

My reaction to the myth of cupid and psyche is that trust is the major component in love and it will always fail without the trust between two people. this myth also shows that trust can be earned back but it it more difficult once it is broken to regain it.

Cupid and Psyche's myth shows a lot about how trust plays into any relationship. You can be in love with someone, but if you can't trust them then the relationship won't be successful. Cupid trusted pPsyche that she would not look at his face, and when she decided to look at his face he lost all of his trust in her. This ended up causing Cupid to leave because she broke the trust he had. Once Cupid eventually regains trust in Psyche, they fall in love again because they both had trust in one another to not betray or hurt the other by breaking that trust. This myth showed that trust is essentail to any relationship and without it, relationships cannot be successful.

Cupid and Psyche's relationship is influenced by the trust that have for each other. Cupid places trust in Psyche so that his true identity is kept secret. Psyche must trust Cupid that he will be a good husband regardless of his face. This trust must initially go hand in hand, but Psyche is intrigued to look upon her husband's face. This deed breaks her trust with Cupid, but also adds some trust in the fact that she knows who her husband is. How can someone trust their spouse without being trusted to know who they are? I think this trust is unnecessary. The only reason Psyche must follow these rules of trust is because of Venus, Cupid's mother. Venus uses this trust as punishment for Psyche for being so beautiful. There is really no need for this trust.

My reaction to the Cupid and Psyche myth proclamation is about trust within a relationship is that it needs to come from both sides. Cupid puts trust in Psyche so his true identity can be kept a secret. At the same time, Psyche must trust that Cupid will be a good husband regardless of his face. These go hand in hand with each other because they both need to trust that their secrets will be kept. When you are in love with someone, you put all of your trust in that person because without trust, there is no way that a relationship can work. There needs to be mutual trust also because if one person does not trust the other, then it will not go back and forth. This example does a very good job of showing that trust must be present in a relationship or else it will not be a strong relationship.

The story of cupid and Psyche represents that you need trust in a relationship. Cupid puts trust in Psyche so his true identity can be kept a secret. while Psyche must trust that Cupid will be a good husband regardless of his face. Being close with someone means to tell them things that you wouldn't necessarily tell a lot of people. Without trust you can do that. Trust is a major ingredient to a healthy relationship.

The Cupid and Psyche myth shows us how important trust is in any kind of relationship. Cupid trust Psyche to not look at his face and she breaks his trust. Psyche then must go through several obstacles to finally win back Cupids trust and love. This tells us the trust is the single most important trait in a relationship.

Overall when looking at this myth you can start to see a very interesting pattern start to occur. It starts out with someone saying something and then they expect you to have trust and faith in what they say and then someone else says or does something that is completely contradictory to what the other person says and expects them to have trust and faith in what they say as well. All of this creates situations for Psyche to be easily swayed and make the wrong decision which in turn makes cupid untrusting of her. Like in the very beginning it says that she is going to marry a “monster” which was declared by an oracle of Apollo. He said that” must be set on the summit of a rocky hill and left alone, and that there her destined husband, a fearful winged serpent, stronger than the gods themselves, would come to her and make her his wife.” This sets up Psyche to fail from the start because seeds of doubt are now planted in her head even though after meeting her husband she said that “ She knew without seeing him that here was no monster or shape of terror.” But even so, she lets her sisters persuade her into thinking that because she has not seen him the prophecy must be so and that she must break her promise to find out. This is very interesting because of the fact that she lets her own doubts become stronger than her love and trust for her husband. This ultimately seals her faith in the fact that because of the broken bonds Cupid leaves. There is even a metaphorical burn mark on him. When it says “some hot oil fell from the lamp upon his shoulder” this is basically saying that because of her breaking her promise the love they have is damaged (because he is the god of love). But finally after that, she goes through her trials and Aphrodite has kept Cupid prisoner, it said that “ Cupid was healed of his wound by now and longing for Psyche.” This is the final linking metaphor, that even if trust is broken and even if love gets damaged, with time, if it is true love (which it must be because the god of love) the damage that was done will be healed. So overall I believe that the story is trying to say that sometimes destiny isn’t always what you may think it is and that sometimes others will try and take you down the wrong path but if you stumble it may take time but love will always come around in the end.

This myth shows us that trust needs to be included in the relationship not from one person, but from both. Cupid needed to trust Psyche into letting her see him for who he truly was, and Psyche needed to have that trust in Cupid. She needed to abide by his wishes of not looking at him just as he asked. Once Cupid left, I think that they started to trust each other more and then fell in love again.

MY reaction to what the myth shows about trust in relationships is that, trust is what holds everything together. And as soon as it is broken it must be earned but some big show of affection or that you have changed. This is shown when psyche shows that she is sorry by listening to cupid's mother and travels to the underworld. This showed cupid that she really loves him and is sorry.

My reaction to what the myth shows about trust in relationships, trust is what holds the relationship together. Cupid needed to trust Psyche into letting her see him for who he truly was, and Psyche needed to have that trust in Cupid. But instead of keeping her Promise she broke it and had to complete many labors to be trusted again. But even then Venus wouldn't trust her at all. The moral of this story is trust is the backbone in a relationship also that love can conquer all.

The myth about cupid and psyche shows how important trust is in a relationship. I agree that that is a good listen to learn through watching how these two are in love but dont trust eachother. When psyche breaks cupids trust she has so much to make up to him but in the end there true loves stays true and everything is worked out just showing that breaking trust almost ruined something amazing.

Cupid and Psyche myth shows us how in a relationship there has to be trust for it to work. Without trust everything falls apart. Psyche breaks cupids trust, and to regain it and make up for what she had done, she has to do impossible tasks. In modern day, people have to trust eachother, and if they don't there isn't these impossible tasks to do to make up for it

It's largely known that trust is an extremely important aspect of a relationship, romantic or platonic. The Cupid and Psyche myth exhibits that fact. Cupid and Psyche both needed to trust each other in order to make things work. At least from a bit of personal experience, a lack of trust can shatter relationships. I won't go into detail but after multiple violations of that trust, it makes it hard to be with someone who you're supposed to trust. Trust is a two-way street, both people have to trust each other for a relationship to work out.

Trust is one of the key factors in a relationship. I feel that they both trusted each other however not enough for people who are married and in a quite serious relationship at that point. Cupid trusted Psyche to not gaze upon his face however had he trusted her enough to show her his face this wouldn't be a problem if he had trusted her not to tell anyone. Psyche should have trusted Cupid and not gazed upon his face like he had asked her, they are both at fault here and thus were able to understand each other and regain the trust they had for one another.
