Vase Interpretation?

Based upon Dr. Castellani's presentation and your notes, evaluate the projected black/red figure vase.  Please decode through commentary.  Think about direction, borders, placement, and symbols or manifestations.  This blog response is a quiz and should be completed during class today.

I think it is Athena cause she has a spear and shield. Her crest of her helmet is also really high up beyond the frame she is also looking back cause Metis.

This vase shows a picture of Athena. I know this because she is holding a shield and has a staff in her right hand. The pillars to the left and right of her have roosters on top. I learned from "Zeus" that roosters are one of her many symbols.

This vase portrays Athena, because her spear is above the line of decoration. Also, she is holding the shield of Zeus. Athena is the goddess of cleverness, or metis. The pillars also symbolize Athena because she can be represented by architecture. There are also roosters on top of the pillars, representing how Athena supported the fighting the the mortals. She is also facing the left, looking to the mortals, but her feet are facing right, which symbolizes the divine.

This vase is of Athena, she has the high crested helmet, a spear, and a shield. The pillars on either side represent Athena's defiance of gravity, and upholding things. The roosters on top of the pillars are also often connected to Athena. Her helmet doesn't go above the border for once, so maybe it's representing her bring visible to mortals and trying to bring herself to the level they are on. She is facing to the left which is the mortal side of the vase. It could be assumed that she is looking at a mortal, giving them advice. At the same time she's protecting the mortals from the gods as the shield is facing the other side, so maybe the gods are trying to punish them for something they did and she is helping a hero.

Her feet are facing one way, but her head is facing in the other direction. Could she be looking back at something? Her spear head goes above the border meaning she is a divinity, because items of divinities and divinities themselves go above the border. The pillars have roosters on the top of them which is a symbol of Athena. She also has the crested helmet.

Athena is facing the left and according to Dr. Castellani's talk the mortals would be on the left side and on the vase Athena is facing the left, Athena loved helping mortals but she is on the right side which represents the divine. Also the placement of everything is chosen to be perfect. Her shield and spear represents her wisdom in war and how brave she is. Her helmet is a little above the vase decoration line. This vase represents Athena

The God on the vase is Athena due to the helmet and the shield with the gorgons head. Her head is above the border showing that she knows no limits. She is also carrying her spear. There are two owls, which is one of her animals on the pillars next to her. She is facing left which is the mortal side.

Athena is on the case because she is holding a shield and has a staff in her right hand. The goddess on the vase is looking straight forward and not downward. This symbolizes that gods and goddess are above everybody and others have to look up to them. The roosters on top of the pillars to her left and right symbolize Athena and her architecture. She is facing the left which is the mortal side but her feet are facing the right which symbolizes divine.

Dr. Catellani said that mortals are always on the left side and immortals are always on the right. This is Athena because she's facing right but she's looking left, which might represent how she cares for the mortals. Her spear is going past the decoration line, which is commonly portrayed with art work involving Athena

I believe it is Athena because she has the spear and the shield and she is also the goddess of upholding and she seems to be holding the picture to gether from falling down.
