Their relationship was about trust and Psyche was trusted by Cupid to not see him but her friends told her to go see him and just like in real life if the relationship is to remain strong then both must trust the other equally if they do not trust equally the relation ship is ruined and unstable

Cupid and Psyche needed trust in the beginning in order to live with each other. Psyche needed to listen to her husband's voice and not her sisters, even though they were her friends. Trust can be hard to go through in life because it is a belief in someone else able to do something for someone. Psyche had a hard time trying to believe in someone she could not see. This is similar to faith. Since she lacked faith about her husband when she lit a candle, she felt really terrible about her non-belief. Trust needs faith in order to work well in hard circumstances for individuals, including loving one another.

Their relationship was foremost about trust, and once that trust was broken, the whole relationship seemed to dissolve. Just like in modern day relationships, trust is always one of the most important parts of a relationship. When Psyche did not trust her husband because of the ideas her sisters put into her head, she ended up deciding to spend the rest of her life searching for him.

Though the relationship between Psyche and Cupid was founded upon the nature of revenge, the one spindle they had that held their relationship together was trust. And Psyche taking the advice of her jealous sisters wrecked that. Thus Cupid fled unable to be in a relationship lacking trust. This myth depicts the necessity of trust in a relationship and how without it, it could not stand. Which still speaks much truth into relationships and even friendships today, without the quintessential building block of trust, what is there.

In this myth about Cupid and Psyche, Psyche allowed the jealous of others corrupt her trust in Cupid. As a result, Cupid could no longer trust Psyche either. This situation occurs in most relationships because it is not easy to trust another human being wholeheartedly. However, after Psyche betrayed Cupid she made every effort to fix her mistake by attempting to impress Venus, Cupid's mother. This goes to show that a betray of trust is not unforgivable if you are willing to suffer to regain the trust you lost.

The main basis of this relationship is trust. It is a very important theme because had they not trusted each other and instead followed what other people thought they should do the relationship would not have worked. But in the end jealousy got in the way and changed what they saw in each other. Their trust in each other diminished. Even though their relationship did not end they still had doubts in one another.

The relationship of cupid and psyche was based on trust. Pysche could not fully trust cupid so the relationship did not last. I think this myth is relatable to modern day relationships or even friendships because of the importance of trust in a relationship that still exists today.

Cupid and Psyche needed confidence that the other would follow through. Without this relationships are destroyed. We see this today in our culture as well. Its hard to truth someone after you have a bad experience with trust. So after trust was broken in the by psyche, cupid must have found it hard to recover. We must be careful of what other people say to us, we must listen but in the end decide what is best for us, not them. Psyche got confused by her sisters and she forgot to choose what she thought would be best not what her sisters thought.

In the beginning Psyche did not trust Cupid enough which is understandable. Most people are more likely to trust their own family then a stranger that have only know for a short while. Also, humans have a fear of the unknown (that is why we are afraid of the dark) and Psyche's fear was greater than any trust she had in her husband. I think it us interesting that Cupid still tries to trust Psyche. He tells her what will happen if she see him but he does not stop her from seeing her family. In the end, the soul (Psyche) searches for love but does not always trust it.

Cupid and Psyche realtionship was created to show that no realtionship is perfict. But when you don't give up on it is when you can suckseed.Psyche faith was tested due to her not seeing cupid and evetly had enogh faith where their relationship moved on

In the myth Cupid and Psyche, their relationship is centered on trust. Psyche hearing things about Cupid from her sister's breaks their trust they have. When Psyche breaks that trust the relationship also breaks with it. This shows that even today for a relationship to work, each person must trust the other.

I think that the trust started to be broken when Psyche desired to see her sisters, and her husband was reluctant to let her. He very well knew what they would to to make her break the trust she had in him as her husband. Had she just trusted her husband’s wisdom in the first place she never would have been put in the position of broken trust. But thankfully, Cupid still loved her and was more than willing to give her a second chance after he had the chance to recover from the hurt that she had caused him.

After reading about Cupid and Psyche I realized something very important. Love isn't just within the presence of two people it is developed over time. When Psyche first asked Cupid for help she trusted him to find her someone that loved her, but all it really did was make people admire her. No one actually loved her. Psyche then made a fearful winged serpent, more powerful than most gods her husband. Jealousy boiled between Cupid and Psyche. Later, Psyche did not feel love anymore, but pure terror. Initially, Psyche didn't trust him if she felt like she was going to get hurt. Many relationships were dispersed because of lack of trust. Therefore, it is a building block worth the time to build.

After reading Cupid and Psyche I saw how much the Greeks valued love and relationships. In this story Psyche marries an unknown man who treats her as a god. But once her sisters come to visit they tell her he is a horrible creature. She doesn't trust her husband, Cupid and this causes her to be tested by his mother. She accomplishes all the tasks and the two live happily ever after. And I think this proves that if you truly love somebody trust them, no matter what.

Just like all relationships in today's world, Psyche and Cupid needed to have trust in order for their relationship to work. Psyche had trusted Cupid even though she did not see him. However, her sisters planted these ideas in her head that faltered her trust. She didn't know who to trust and that's the hard thing about relationships. When do you trust your friends/family and when do you trust your spouse/girlfriend/boyfriend? I think when it comes to this, you just have to trust in your significant other while keeping in mind what others are telling you. Fortunately for Cupid and Psyche, their relationship ended up working out in the end.

My reaction to Cupid and Psyches myth's proclamation about trust: I see trust as the most important variable in a relationship. Trust, is allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and be put in a position where you can get easily hurt or crushed. But we are all human and every human, has their temptations. Cupid asked psyche to never look at his face. This is not a realistic promise, but then why did she agree to never look at him. This myth explains a lot about human nature and how we will agree to doing something we know that we can do, as well as making expectations for others that are unreasonable. As far as my further reaction, if you play with hot oil, you will get burned.

The story of Cupid And Psyche have an indisputable relationship between true love and the soul. At first Psyche believes she must see her husband to dissolve her doubt about their love. Which she later differs from after going through countless treacherous tasks for Cupid. The story also looks within the distinction of mortals and gods. As the story progresses Psyche is accepted as a divine power. So it makes us question, does the soul reach it’s full potential when it achieves godliness? True love can only be present when both parties have undeniable trust towards each other without question. Relationships need trust because if they don’t, the relationship slowly deteriorates into being strangers.

Their relationship was all about trust. Cupid trusted Psyche not to go see him. Like any other relationship you need trust. But if that is broken then it will end and not matter anymore.
