Greek myth is more diverse than I had originally thought. I really enjoyed the class, and I would recommend it to all those interested in mythology. literature in our world would be dipdistorted by influences that aren't as moral and mortal as the Greek works. We need this influence.

I have learned a lot more than I thought I would in this class. There is so much to Greek Mythology, so much detail. It really makes you think about all the different types of literature out in the world, and how diverse it can be from our familiar kind.

I have learned about Pandora's box and the illiad The illiad will come in handy possibly in a history class if we learn about the Trojan war.

In education, I look for broad points that I can apply to my life everyday. I was very interested in the heroic code and the guest/host relationship that Greeks have. I will take the teachings of respect, honor through battle or war, courage, boldness, and being willing to accept help when I need. I highly value values.

I have learned a lot about Greek Mythology. The most interesting myths we learned about this semester to me was Jason and the Golden Fleece and the Hercules myth. These both kept my attention and taught me a lot. I will keep this information with me. When i'm sleeping under my gold blanket i will understand where it came from and appreciate it. Also when I'm watching Hercules i will know what really happened and not buy into the lies Disney is trying to me.

I have learned that all myths some how relate, whether it be a common divinity, or a common characteristic of a hero. Most myths somehow connect to one another. They have a set order of when they happened and sometimes some reference to others. I never realized how complicated it can be with trying to keep all the names straight. I also learned a lot about how to figure out who a picture of a greek mythological character is. This class taught me a lot about observing everything.

I have learned from Greek Mythology that things aren't always what they seem. The Greek myths we studied weren't simply stories but a complex picture of the social and religious structure of an entire civilization. These myths told us their dreams and their fears, who they honored and who they despised. It also helped me to understand the multiple parts of culture that reference Greeks and their heroes, gods and goddesses.

This class has really opened my eyes about Greek Mythology and what part it has played in the past, what part it plays now in the present, and the ever strong part it will play in the future. I have learned about divinities in detail I never thought I would and aspects of myths that make me look at life situations differently.

I have learned how prevalent greek mythology is in our world today. The purpose of the myths was to explain confusing events about life and shed light onto significant topics. The Greeks and their culture is portrayed throughout their stories.

Greek Mythology was different then I thought it would be like. I knew about the Greek gods and goddess but I never really knew in detail what they meant or what they did. I really liked learning about the divinities and the difference between them. This class I thought was a really fun and interesting class. If your interested in Greek Mythology I would recommend taking this class.

I've learned many things about mythology this semester. It's not what we usually think is portrayed in movies and books. Mythology is seen more as an explanation of the unknown, and for some it was a way to use their imagination to explain the seemingly unexplainable. I think in terms of relation GM to other classes, I always find a way to relate the hero stories we've read to novels we read in English. There are also some times when you can find how mythology relates to history, it mainly depends on where you look. I thought this was a pretty fun class, however there was a lot of homework and reading involved. All you have to do is just make sure you read all the assignments and participate in the discussions and you'll be able to enjoy the class.

Greek myth is a fun class although there's a lot of work so if you don't stay on top of it you can fall really far behind there is a lot of material to cover so stay on course it's fun and intertwining if you are prepared for class before it starts.

I have learned a lot about the gods and the way myths were written. I understand how they were written in order to explain things they could not understand.

I thought greek mythology would be really stupid but I learned the value in it. I learned that the common myths aren't all good like everyone makes them out to be.

After reading the Greek myths I have learned what an important role they play in our society today, thousands of years later. Now when reading literature I will be able to identify the references to the myths, therefore furthering my understanding of the text.

I have learned from greek myth is that people are afraid of the unknown, afraid of the truth, because of this stories are made to comfort people. The stories comfort the people by having some good in the world by Zeus or Apollo carrying out the justice or the people themselves carrying out the justice. I learned that without knowledge of something, comes good stories.

Throughout the semester, I learned many different things about Greek Mythology and it's complex idea's about stories, poems, religion, wars, etc. Yet the one thing that I will take with me as I leave the schools of Arapahoe High School, is that Mr. Trotter rocks like the Red Sox and that Greek Myth is found everywhere:) Good Luck to next year seniors!! WOOOH! Great day to be a senior!

Learning about all the different gods and goddesses has helped me understand the different allusions to Greek mythology in the music that I listen to. There is a line in the song City of Angels by the Distillers, "It's a ghost town rabid underworld Dionysian night vitriolic twilight". I had no idea what a Dionysian night was before this class. I know that this references Dionysus and the celebration of him.

this class taught me that greek mythology is a lot deeper then i had originally thought and that mythology has an impact on almost everything and we are surrounded by concepts and creations from the greek myth time era.

Ancient Greek mythology tells a story about a man named Mikael Shadows born from two mortal parents during the century 23 B.C. He was one of seven people to be sacrificed for Ares, god of war. But instead became the first demigod after a human birth by an unknown deity. In exchange for this godly gift, there had to be a sacrifice made and that was his entire family. Mikael is the son of Melite (mother) and Codros (father), he is also the brother of Icarus (brother), Patron (brother) and Isadora (sister). It is said that Mikael will roam free on this earth until he seeks his true vengeance on Ares. Mikael Shadows, God of vengeance.
