I think there are many people out there who can be trusted and plenty of relationships that thrive with trust as their base. In a relationship where there is no trust like the one of Cupid and Psyche or even Cupid and Venus, I think trust becomes an issue and will ultimately unravel the ties they had. Cupid couldn’t trust psyche and visa versa and that led to them falling apart but because of their love they managed to stay together. If they would have been honest and Cupid told her who he was and that he had made no men love her and she told him how she felt they would have been fine. A relationship will have lies but if there is love in it and at least a good level of trust and honesty, even if that area needs work, it will survive.
Anyone CAN be trusted, but it is not until someone breaks your trust that you can decide that you shouldn't trust them. But in order to know that, you must trust them first. Trust is given, not earned. If you break someone's trust, then you have to not break it the next time that they trust you, in order for them to decide that they might be able to trust you again. Usually when trust is given, it starts out being about small trivial things and gets bigger and bigger. And soon, someone may be able to trust you for anything. Cupid was able to trust Psyche because she had maintained the his trust by doing what she was told without question. Cupid in return, maintained Psyche's trust by caring for her and giving her everything she needed and wanted and by fulfilling every promis that she trusted him to keep. Venus trusted Cupid because he was her son, whom she had raised and loved, and who loved her back. And at first, Venus didn't trust Psyche. So when Venus gave her those tasks, Venus was placing her trust in Psyche. And since Psyche didn’t break her trust (that she knew of) Venus had to accept Psyche. And also, Cupid decided to give Psyche another chance to keep his trust, after seeing her keep his mother's trust, all for the sake of him.
I think that you can trust anyone. People give each other chances to trust on another. But once your trust for someone is broken it could be hard to repair. I think that trust is a very importaint part of having a friendship or relationship. I believe that you should be honest with another person. But I also dont think that it is wrong to have a guard up when you first meet a person. With Cupid and Psyche, I think that becuase of their situtaion that they couldn't trust one another. First they couldn't see each other, and they didn't know each other. How can you lsten to someone you dont know and trust them completly. Even though they loved each other, I dont think it was enough to keep them together. Every relationship needs trust and i think that trust grows in every relationship or friendship. As long as you have trust for a person it can get you through anything. Its when you lose trust, thats when things fall apart.
I think you can trust anyone once you first meet them to a certain degree, but once that trust is broken it takes alot more effort to restore it. In a relationship, like Cupid and Psyche, trust is the most important part and when you can't see each other it's hard to build that trust. Without trust how can you love a person completely? If Cupid would of told psyche who he really was then things wouldn't of gotten as bad as they did. In my eyes if you have trust then you have everything you need in a relationship or friendship, if you don't have it then you don't have anything, which is why things for Cupid and Psyche turned bad. Venus could trust Cupid because he was her son and that trust developes through her raising and taking care of him for all those years.
I think that trust is one of the most important foundations in a relationship, no matter what kind it may be. Without trust, how can there truly be love? This is apparent in the myth of Cupid and Psyche, by not trusting her husband, Psyche lost him for a time. Then Cupid came to not trust Psyche in return. However, they managed to salvage their relationship because of their love. When someone breaks your trust it can be extremely hard to every trust in that person again, but with time it can begin to heal.
I believe that being trusted depends on circumstances. I feel that trust must be gained; if you want somebody to trust you, you must be honest and trustworthy. However, someone who lies and cheats is obviously never going to be trusted. Cupid did not trust Pysche, and Pysche did not trust cupid, so their relationship was held together by almost nothing. Trust can grow, but it can also diminish. It's definately something that people take for granted, even Cupid and Psyche.
I believe that love cannot live where there is no trust. In order to love someone you have to be able to get close to them and open up to them. There is no way that would happen without trust. This is demonstrated with Cupid and Psyche. Cupid would not open up to her so she was not able to trust him. That made the relationship fall apart. Then, when Psyche finally found out who Cupid was she knew that they could start over and build up trust in the relationship. She knew that she had to show him that she wanted to start all over again by doing impossible tasks. Cupid realized her attempts and the two could finally open up to each other and build a relationship on trust. When this happened the two had a successful relationship.
I think that trust is one of the major things that are necessary for a successful relationship. I think that if a couple does not have trust they cannot fully commit and love each other. I think that was one of the main problems with the relationship between Cupid and Psyche. When Cupid knew he could not trust her he knew love would not be enough. As the begin to try to work on building back the trust the love could fully be seen.
I think we have to make a difference between love without trust and a relationship without trust. I don't think a relationship is a real and good relationship if there's no trust. But love is something else. To me it seems as if Psyche still loves Cupid, even though she's not sure if she can trust him. She loves him, but she doesn't want to stay with him because she doesn't think she can trust him. Another example for how love still can exist even without trust is that Cupid still loves Psyche after all. Sure, he's wounded by her distrust, but he can't deny his feelings for her at last. The betrayal of trust didn't kill his feelings.
I think that in a relationship there has to be trust because that is the whole foundation of a realationship to me. The poem doesnt make any sence to me but I think its about them falling in love because they trust eachother. I would not trust anyone, until I actually get to know them becuase people in general say a lot of stuff that they don't mean and they lie a lot. I think that in any relationship between friends or girlfriends that trust has to be earned.
I don't trust people unless they earn it. What does a relationship such as Cupid and Psyche have without trust? Lust? Supposedly a pretty big sin in some great writings. Without trust nothing can grow in a relationship. I think that if love were to be broken down into a pyramidal structure, being on the top, trust would be the foundation and the most needed aspect in order to acquire love.
I agree to a certain extent because so much of a relationship is about faith in the other person. You have to feel they are predictable enough that there are certain things which are out of their character to commit (such as eating you). On the other hand enduring a little bit of nagging and harassment is part of life. While nagging is technically a form of mistrust it is also often a symptom of caring about someone. A certain amount of doubt can be tolerated but you should feel you can rely on their basic character.
I think in order to have love you must have trust as a part of it. And if you don't have trust in a partner than you will not be in love and that can put a major hold on a relationship. When Psyche wanted to see Cupid, and turned on the lamp one night, she broke his trust.
trust is the foundation of any relationship. without trust nothing else could be achieved. love is fully dependant on trust and would not exist without at least a little trust. love is all about sacrifice and comprimise. both of the individuals involved in the relationship must each sacrifice and comprimise in order to reach true love and trust.
If there is no trust like Cupid and Psyche then there can still be love because its not all about trust. I say this because you can still love someone and not trust them. Many people have there favorite friends and those friends have lied to you about something for some reason but you still love them.
In my opinion trust is the fundamental to a working relationship. In the story of Cupid and Psyche their love and bond was strong because they trusted eachother and didnt question it. Once that trust was broken Cupid left and arrpoached it very similar to how I feel about breaking trust. Once someone I care about has broken my trust I have a very hard time being able to be with them and start to question things. I will give people most of my trust from the get go but the moment they break it, its hard to get it back and I in a way expect them to prove to me they wont break it again. Similar to Cupid and PSyche.
I think that loves core is trust, when there is love in a relationship and no trust at all, it will deffinetly unravel and eventually fall completely apart. In Cupid and Psyches case I think that if something has been done to loose somebodys trust there is always a way to earn it back, it is weather or not that person is willing to let them back in. Things happen in relationships and everyday you learn to get strong with how you deal with different situations. Cupid was able to let Psyche back in after a lot of hard work but if love really exists in your heart with one person you will learn to get through thick and thin...That love will always be there.
I don't think anyone can be trusted 100%, people will 90% of the time think of themselves first the other 10% is usually out of habit. However, there is a large majority of people who go out of their way to think of others first, but everyone at some point in their lives have thought of themselves first arrogantly at least once in their lives. Trust is a virtue humans in general don't value because for the most part, we are jealous and arrogant and typically look for the worst in others, and so when given an idea, like Psyche's sisters did, she partially wanted it to be true.
I think that if you can have good communication in a relationship then you can have trust in a relationship. In a relationship there has to be some kind of trust. If there is lack of trust and communication then what is the point of being in a relationship if you can not trust the person you are sharing your life with. Most men in relationships want to run the relationship and the women in the realtionship do not have any say in the relationship and the man acts like he is the only important person in the relationship.
Trust is a thing that everyone has, and you lose trust if you break it. There is no reason trust cannot be had for someone until they have proven otherwise. Trust is a key to any relationship, but as shown by Cupid and Psyche, it is not the only factor. Relationships should thrive on a variety of factors, but trust is certainly on of the big ones. Love, however, is not defined by virtues, but by feelings. Love ignores all outside factors and has it's own plan for everyone. You can never escape true love. Once in love, you are in love forever, no matter what that person says or does. You may not want to be with that person, but you will love them regardless and always will.
Most people in life can be trusted. But there are different levels of trust. I may trust someone enough too hang out with but not enough to tell all my thoughts and secrets. When someone looses your trust it is something that cant be regained easily. They have to show there trust and prove again that they can be trusted. Sometimes someone can do something that will make you never trust them again it all depens on the circumstances.
i do believe love can exist where there is no trust. for example; a mother still loves her child although she may not trust them. i also feel love can exist between a couple without trust but see it as circumstantial. if a man and a woman began loving each other and had no concerns of trust but later developed trust issues, love can still exist but will be strained. if a man and woman never trusted one another i do not believe it is impossible for love to exist but impossible for it to be created.
Trust is earned however love can exist without trust; it's just not as successful and raises suspicion between lovers. it will ultimately lead to a termination of the relationship as it did with Cupid and Psyche. no relationship is perfect and there will always be distrust but it can be worked on.
I think that love cannot exist where trust is absent. One must trust another before giving their heart to them. Another thing, not everyone is trustworthy. Trust must be gained. It is a privilege, not a right. And therefore love is a privilege, and must not be taken advantage of.
