The characters in this video clip seem very ruthless towards one another just like the heroes in Greek Myth. They feel like they are more important than those who have less rights than themselves and more powerful as well. They would go to any means to help their men conquer what needed to be defeated in order for them to seem more powerful and successful during their journey. Strength is one of the heroic codes and in this video clip, Mr Simpson portrays a character that is extremely powerful and able to defeat whatever comes his way.

They made fun of how the humans back then were kind of ironic in their thinking, like how he refused to make animal sacrifice, then went and killed and wounded slaves. Also pokes fun at the trials and challenges they faced on the return trip. It mostly parodies the Hubris of heroes, the arrogance that many heroes possess.

The way the Simpsons portrays these characters is very rough and shows them to be quite dense and unaware. Though it speaks on the actual Odyssey it makes this story of great magnitude into almost a children's story. The Simpsons was able to remove some of the validity of the Odyssey and made it more modern the way it should be.

The Simpsons show a simplified version of the Odyssey, shows the comedy in the actual myth. Makes fun of Hero's, I kinda got the impression that the story was saying they had dumb luck with a little of the gods help but after not sacrificing the animal they lead them on a huge pointless mission in hopes that they'd never make it home.

The video clips main purpose is to make fun of the story of Odysseus. It implements jokes that make the story more light hearted then it actually is. It makes fun of different aspects of the story such as Helen of Troy or when Odysseus' crew turned into pigs.

This clip makes fun of The Odyssey. At one point he eats his friends who had turned into pigs and was still hungry. He almost gets home but his ship gets moved all the way across the ocean. Like in The Odyssey he finally returns home and proves to his wife that it is truly him.

The Simpsons parody the odyssey by briefly summarizing the story but putting the story through the Simpsons eyes and using its characters through the story. This makes the story more relatable to a wider audience

The Simpsons’ video is a parody of the Odyssey because shows the same events that happened in the Odyssey but put some fun jokes throughout the video. They created a fun way to learn something about Odysseus’ journey. Through this video it also added in the greek gods Dionysus, Poseidon, and Zeus. The Simpson’s showed the heroic code since they involve one’s identity and role in being part of a warrior society which Odysseus was a big part of.

In the Simpsons parody they used the Odyssey and Odysseus to explain and humorize the hero's journey and the travels of Odysseus and his men.

The Simpsons make fun of some of the unusual situations. SUch as having your friends turned into pigs. It also makes use of the fact that the weird changing thoughts and moods of the gods. The Simpsons portray the hero in a much lighter fashion making them far less smart. Thre Simpsons also show they gods as far more mortal and fallible than in the epics themselves.

It was Evident that the Simpsons were making fun of the ironic and potentially idiotic way of thinking with the Ancient Greeks. The story was simplified so that it could fit in the time allotted, and it cut out certain aspects, like the cyclops. The Simpsons poked some holes in a lot of Greek Mythology, like, "Who decided to give every nut-head their own island?"

The video in many ways made fun of the original story but in line with the heroic code, they really made them feel as though they are more important than others, For example odysseys he got through every trial but the others died pretty soon in the story. Also he wouldn't kill the pig for sacrifice but is fine with killing others. Basically they made Odyssey look like the all powerful and strongest man and the mortals or his "friends" were just there and dumb and didn't benefit him at all.

The Simpsons video was basically a parody of the original story.Making fun of the greeks and their gods.It was made to be funny so a lot of the truth was taken out. They made the gods mortals, turned people into pigs.

This is a parody because it is a little different than the real story so it makes it a parody. Helen in that made the other men as their guest and she was a good one even if she refused to marry any of them because she loved Odysseus.

The Simpsons shows a lot that heroes back then were full of hubris and were extremely arrogant in their ways. It also shows the guest host relationship that the Greeks and Odysseus would ruin in many ways.
