Love can exist without trust; but it is not a romantic love the kind of love that can exist without trust is the kind that one might have for a family member. No matter what your family does to lose the trust of the rest of the family they are still loved. There can not be a romantic love without trust because such a big part of that love is trusting the other person with anything and if there is absolutely no trust then romantic love cannot exist. Therefore it is possible for love to exist without trust it just might be a different kind of love than may come to your mind at first.

Love can't exist with out trust. trust is necessary for love to be. if you don't have trust you are staying awake at night wondering where that person that you think you love is and at that time your not thinking about love. your heart is full of worry and your are quick to come to conclusions on were the person was.

Trust can't exist where there is no love because love is a challenging and dangerous emotion. It takes a lot of trust to go through life loving someone. When trust is missing, suspicion settles in. You begin to suspect the ones you love and even accuse them of not loving you back. Trust and love go together because when you trust someone it is easier to love that person.

Love can exist without trust. This is shown in the myth by how Cupid returns to Psyche in the end. He may not have trusted her, but he still loved her to much to be without her. Sometimes you are just drawn to close to someone and you could never trust them, but that still does not mean you don't love them.

i do agree with the common ideas of the cupid and psyche myth, love cannot exist without trust because love is a very powerful emotion, humans have gotten to the point where we don't hand out our love to just anyone, we need to trust the person before we hand them our love in fear the love will be abused. it has happened to many people where they get "burned" from the abuse of love, in cupid's case it was a quite literal burn from the wax of a candle, however, this can also be taken metaphorically in the sense abusing of trust burns us.

I believe that the truth honestly is Love cannot exist without trust. As in the myth Psyche couldn't be trusted by cupid anymore when she shined the light of the latern on him and burnt him with the candle wax. He ran away from her and when she went to go look for him she got in a mess of trouble. Although he still loved her the whole problem of the story is that she lost his trust and if she would have just let it be what it was nothing bad would have happened and they could have stayed together. Trust is big in any relationship because once you can't trust someone you feel like there is a wall between you that you can't get passed. You feel afraid to tell them something personal because they don't have that trust. If you have trust you have love and it's one of the biggest building blocks in every relationship.

I believe that love can exist without trust. In most situations, like cheating, lying, etc, then love does not exist. That would be a dead relationship. However, as psyche proved, sometimes true love overpowers mistrust. So in the end, Cupid and Psyche were together even though there was a lack of trust.

Love can exist where there is no trust because you can always fall in love with someone and trust takes time to build up. It is a hard thing to earn and an easy thing to have taken away, but if you both work at it, it will come easily. If the trust is not built up later on you might not be in a relationship anymore but you could still love that person, as Cupid shows as he returns to Pysche in the end of the myth.

i think trust is needed in a relationship and with trust comes love. When psyche listened to her sisters and saw cupid in the light and burned him she didnt trust her heart and believe he was what she thought. Although she looked for him and did all of venuses tests she still knew she loved him, and he still loved her and thats the key to the story trust is love but love is strong too. and in the end she became a godess and lived with cupid for the rest of time.

Love and trust are things that, for a healthy relation ship, must go together, yet some one could love a person with out trusting them. Though it most likely would only be a one way love. Then the question arises is that really love?

Love can not exist without trust. If you do not trust someone than you can not love them. Having said that, i must also say that trust is not love. There is more to love than just trusting the other person, all though trust is a huge part in loving someone. You might not trust your family at all times, but you still love them unconditionally. But it is different loving your family than it would be to love someone that you have not known your whole life, and trust will have a huge impact on that. Even in love, there is times when you might question your trust, but that is normal and okay, but if trust does not exist then it is impossible for love to exist.

The whole point of love is to have an unending, unquestionable, trust with someone. It doesn't have to be romantic, there is love amongst family, where blood is your bond and it takes a lot to break. Or there is the love you have with a good friend where you have experienced the best and the worst with them but got through it in the end. There are many different types of love but trust is the one common factor. You can't love someone if your expecting them to stab you in the back.

I do think that love can exist without trust. When Cupid does not let Psyche see him, I think she still loved him and defended him in front of her wicked sisters. Then, at the end of the myth, Cupid returns to her because he can't live without her. Sometimes the people we care about the most lie to us and break our trust. If we truly loved them, that love won't change.

I believe that love can exist without trust. Some love cannot be held back by anything, including trust. This is called unconditional love. Love that does not need to be followed up by anything. I think that this may be the most powerful love of all. Love where it wouldn't matter if you knew all the details about them or even the major parts, but something still pulls you at them; love. "Love and the Soul had sought and, after sore trials, found each other; and that union could never be broken."

I think that love and trust go hand in hand, and you cannot truly love without trust. Cupid and Psyche may have been infatuated with each other, but I don't think they were truly in love until after Cupid returned and they agreed to be married. The Greek myths often refer to infatuation as love, but I don't think true love exists until the trust is there.

Love definitely can exist without trust, but if there is no trust it becomes more of a one sided love. In the story of Cupid and Psyche even after she broke his trust she still loved him.(the one sided love part) And after Psyche went through all the trouble to earn his trust again and to win his favor again Cupid realized that he still loves Psyche even without the trust he had in her in the beginning. And eventually they come together and get married by Zeus.

I believe that the myth is relatable and important. the myth says that cupid yells “ ‘love cannot live where there is no trust’ “ this is very true, so it shows again how myths are used again to help explain. the myth also shows that a great relationship needs the will to do anything. This shows with psyche’s many trials.

I found it interesting that the story was on the beauty of Psyche, yet how jealousy was a constant enemy of hers. Cupid, the god of love, tries to make her fall in love with a vile creature, but ends up falling in love with her. In the myth, Cupid leaves Psyche for a time claiming that without trust love cannot continue. I agree with this, but the myth does show that trust can be earned with time. Until the trust has developed, I do not believe that you can have a true relationship with someone.

Relationships and love are about trusting each other. If you trust your partner you get the best from your relationship. In the Greek myth about cupid and Psyche, Psyche had tons of wealth and money and a wonderful house, but because she didn't trust her husband she lost everything. Just like with modern relationships, if you don't rust one another, your relationship is doomed to failure.

I would have to disagree with Heather Jacobs. This is a myth and of course Cupid is going to return to Psyche, because he trusted her in the end. If Cupid did not trust Psyche he wouldn't have returned to her. If Psyche did not trust that Cupid loved her, she wouldnt have done all those errands. Even Love itself admitted that love needs trust,"'Love cannot live where there is no trust,' he said and flew away" (Hamilton 100). There needs to be trust, and trust in love, for love to exist.

No love cannot exist without trust. This is because trust is one of the largest part of love.as the trust wilts, once your trust is gone it is less like love and more like parole this because your partner will always wonder where you are and if your doing a good thing or if you can still be trusted any more or if you should be kept on the shortest leash possible

This myth teaches us that love can exist without trust and that jealousy
leads people to do things that eventually hurt the people that they love. Love is demonstrated when Psyche is in love with Cupid even though she has never seen him before. And it is also demonstrated when Cupid comes back to Psyche even after she broke his trust.

Trust is important to relationships, but what the Cupid and Psyche story shows is that if the people are close enough then they can persevere trough problems. Even though Psyche betrayed Cupid, she loved him so much that she endured all of Venus's punishments to be back with Cupid. Cupid also perseveres by forgiving Psyche.

I don't think that love can exist without trust. In order to truly love someone you must be able to trust them blindly.

Trust is one of the most important components in a relationship, if you do not trust someone you cannot fully love them. Cupid and Psyche shows that even if trust is broken, things can still work out when trust is rebuilt, but i believe that unless you completely trust someone, you cannot have a working relationship.

I believe love cant exist where there is no trust. One of loves biggest components is trust. How is Psyche supposed to trust Cupid if Cupid wont even let Psyche see his face? I mean one can have strong feelings for another but if they don't trust each other then it isn't really love.
