In Cupid and Psyche's story it says, "there cannot be love where there is no trust." and I think that this quote is accurate because if you don't trust the person you allegedly love then you will constantly be battling with your own thoughts about that person. Eventually you would create your own thoughts as to what their actions truly mean/are and you'd begin to second-guess everything. I also feel like trust within relationships is just hoping that your "love" will live up to your personal relationship expectations

With such abstract concepts as love and trust, it can be difficult to define the relationship between them. While trust is an ideal component of love, the myth seems to suggest that love is involuntary or spontaneous and beyond the control of those who express it. Even without trust, people can find ways to justify their feelings or relationships. A lack of trust may create tension, but people can often fool themselves into an illusion of love even if it is false and/or temporary.

In the case of this myth, there was more than just trust that played into the initial plan to kill him. Rumors, jealousy, mystery, and a stronger trust between family all played into Psyche's decision. So while Cupid does present a true part of a relationship, he makes a very one-sided argument to what Psyche originally planned to do. Also, after Cupid left and stayed with his mother, lust and love brought him and Psyche back together. And if Cupid originally did not think there was trust in this relationship, then he obviously did not think that trust was truly that essential to love/a relationship.

Within the Cupid and Psyche myth, Cupid entrusts Psyche with trying to make their relationship work though she cannot see him, and she is not allowed to try and seek out his physical form. In relationships, sometimes the only thing you can do is trust blindly. Not always will there be the chance for either person to have the ability to support each other with surmountable trust that has been established. Besides blind trust, there is also the point where love cannot be founded without first trusting the other person. Psyche did not fully trust Cupid, and let the distrust enter her thoughts, and she nearly lost him forever. She had to prove herself worthy once more of being with Cupid, and their ability to trust each other was strengthened.

Through the story of Cupid and Psyche, the idea of trust within love is spoken of, and specifically trusting blindly. Psyche trusts Cupid in the beginning, although she can not see him, (again showing that element of trusting blindly.) It isn't until her sisters come that she starts questioning Cupid and her trust breaks. For there to be love, some level of trust needs to be there. It may vary in the amount or extremity, depending on the couple, but trust is one of the main fundamentals of a successful relationship. Even further from the trust required by Cupid for Psyche to not look at him, he tells her the dangers of what her sisters may say, and their intentions, and Psyche doesn't trust Cupid enough to stand up for her marriage and husband, and trust that what they have is real and worth the effort. In love, especially how it is represented in movies and books, there is a certain amount of spontaneous risk-taking and 'jumping head first' into things, not worrying about the outcome, just trusting each other to experience the present.

The story of Cupid and Psyche is saying that love cannot work with out trust. In the story, even though Psyche didn't trust Cupid, they still loved each other. It's not that love didn't exist, it's that it wasn't possible unless they trusted each other. And because of that lack of trust she almost lost Cupid forever.

"'Love cannot live where there is no trust,'" stated Cupid. Cupid believed that trust is essential in love. Cupid believes that trust is so important, without it, love ceases to exist. Cupid asks Psyche to never see what he looks like. At first Psyche trusts Cupid and respects his wishes. But as Psyche losses faith in her husband, she gives into temptation, losing trust in her husband. Psyche looks upon her sleeping husband. Psyche lost trust in Cupid and pursued looking at Cupid, and Cupid lost trust in Psyche when she disrespected his wishes. As Cupid and Psyche show, there cannot be love when there is no trust in a relationship. This story not only symbolizes how trust is important, but it also symbolizes how love is blind. In the beginning of the myth, Cupid is not shown to Psyche, yet she still falls in love with Cupid. This is important because it shows that a person can fall in love despite looks. In modern day people should take the lessons from Cupid and Psyche. Modern day people in relationships should know that love cannot live where there is no trust. Though, the soul can be purified through suffering and struggle. Even if trust is lost, it can be regained through devotion and will. And love should not be based on looks. Modern people should take these lessons to make their relaetionship healthier.

In the Cupid and Psyche myth they cupid says that can be no love without trust. Which is true When you love some one you have to trust them, because you are basically telling them to hold and take care of your heart. And you have to trust them to not break it.

In this myth Psyche and Cupid fall in love with one another and Cupid makes her promise that she will never look at him and one day she violates that trust and loons at him. She broke her trust and this made cupid leave her. This shows that trust is a foundation for every relationship and when that trust is broken it can ruin a relationship

As shown in the Cupid and Psyche myth when you break the trust of someone you love it causes pain to all those in the relationship. However if you try hard enough to gain that trust back you can find love in that relationship again.

For true love to work and keep both people happy they have to have trust in each other. When Psyche disobeyed Cupid and looked at his face he could no longer be with her because she broke his trust. It shows how both people have to be willing to put in work to make it work with the other person.

In the Cupid and Psyche myth, it mentions how you can't have love without trust. This quote seems accurate because to love someone you need to trust them with things they do and say. When you break your trust, you are breaking the foundations for love.

In the cupid and psyche myth, it is said that you have to have trust in order to love someone. I agree because if there is no trust then there can be no love. When trust is broken the love is never the same.

Love and trust. This is a debatable topic. Yes, i do believe you need trust to be intimate with another, but you can still love someone and want to do things and be with them, you just have to be careful. But true love is blind. This is very true. I always say “if you have to find a reason to keep loving, it's not love.” Love is natural, love requires work, yet doesn’t.

Trust is fragile. and it takes a lot to regain. but when you really love someone, nothing stops you from fighting for the relationship, you would literally go to hell and back for the person if you really love them.

There cannot be love without trust, like in the myth of Cupid and Psyche. In this story Psyche cannot see her husband's face, but in the day she sneaks into Cupid's room and sees his face. She accidentally wakes him and has to go through many tasks to earn him back. I feel like the statement, "There cannot be love without trust", is very accurate because love is trust. Once this bond of trust is broken, it is very hard to be won back. People have to go to a large extent to get people back once the trust is broken.

I think that trust in love is very important. 1 person in the relationship cannot be the only person that trust the other. Both people have to trust each other. Cupid and Psyche both trusted each other. They risked each other's lives to be together. Psyche went to the underworld to be with Cupid. Then Cupid came and saved Psyche even though he was mad at her for not listening to him. All in all, trust has to be between both of the people in a relationship

In the Cupid and Psyche myth I think the myth conveys that trust is a very important part of any relationship. On page 96 it reads "Love cannot live where there is no trust." said by Cupid. I think trust is very important in relationships because you need to trust the person that you love and tell everything to. Its important to trust one another and to keep that trust because that can be the strongest things in relationships.

I think that it is important to have trust in every relationship. Their shouldn't be a question about whether what someone says in a relationship is the truth or a lie, because it should always be the truth. For example, this story is about Psyche loosing Cupid's trust and the struggle of once again earning both Cupid's trust and love.

Trust is very important in every relationship. When you love someone you wouldn't want to lie to them because you wouldn't want to hurt someone you love in order to keep one secret. Like in the story Cupid and Psyche loose there trust for one another but at the end they worked things out for a happy ending and I think thats one of the most important things, is to trust and when trust is lost to be able to rebuild that trust for a better and happier future.

The virtue of trust is very important within a relationship. If trust is ever broken, it is almost impossible to earn it all back. In the Cupid myth, Psyche lost Cupid's trust when she looked upon his face while he was sleeping under the light of a candle. Cupid fled sad and frustrated, but he eventually realized that he still loved her and returned to her. If love is true, it can last any trials, just as Cupid and Psyche could.

In Cupid and Psyche's story it says, "There cannot be love where there is no trust." I believe that this quote is accurate because if you don't trust someone who you're supposed to love, then love will not work. You have to trust someone you love in order to love them. If you don't trust your lover, how are you supposed to have a relationship with them? How are you supposed to comprehend what they say? You have to trust them if you want to progress with any form of relationship. If trust is broken at any point, it is almost completely impossible to get all of that trust back. If anything, the person will trust you less than they did before.

Cupid and Psyche
After Psyche gazes upon cupid he proclaims that “love cannot live where there is no trust” and then flees. After Psyche hears this she is heartbroken by her mistake and left alone, but her mistake not only affected her but also her lover. She didn’t trust Cupid because of the doubts that were placed in her mind. I agree that love cannot exist without trust, however, I do believe that while Psyche was in the wrong for not trusting Cupid, a relationship goes two ways. One cannot keep things from their significant other and then expect to withhold important information. In away love itself is a form of deep trust and if that trust is broken could love exist? I believe it would be very difficult.

I think that the Cupid and psyche myth explains that trust is vital within a relationship but in a overly exaggerated way. It brings this trust to an extreme, yet illustrates the value of love over all others and that love can trump even the hardest of situations. This is shown through all of the tasks that psyche must complete because she loves Cupid, even though she has wronged Cupid he takes her back. Also illustrating the importance of forgiveness when somebody wrongs you.

This myth says that there cannot be live without trust. In this case psyche broke that trust with Cupid but they still managed to work it out in the end. This shows me that live can resist even without trust if both parties are willing to make it work. All it takes is a little forgiveness and the ability to forgive.

The myth of Cupid and Psyche says that there cannot be love without trust. I agree completely. If there's no trust in a relationship, romantic or platonic, then it's impossible to love them. You always doubt what they say and do. If a person cannot trust you, you feel like you have to prove yourself to them in order to earn that trust. That's why Psyche endured all those trials; she wanted to prove to Cupid she was trustworthy and worthy of his love.
